Another great day for service! We started our work with Youth Rebuilding New Orleans and headed out to the worksite at 8:45am. When we arrived we had our quick orientation and wen to work priming a house in the neighborhood that was without a paint job for such a long time that the City was fining the owner. He was delighted we were there and we were happy to do what we could. We had a nice reflection afterwards on the purpose and meaning of service, ate McHardy’s Chicken & Fixin for dinner, went off to meet David Montana, a Marti Gras Indian, and then had ice cream at the Creole Creamery. Fantastic day!
