Jennie, Abby’s mother writes:
I just want to thank you for everything you did to make the New Orleans service trip such a memorable one for Abby. She arrived back in San Francisco full of such positive and descriptive narrative. She really had a wonderful time and although she was not real excited before leaving, it seems that she connected with her hosts at the Duchesne house, you three, and her classmates. As a parent I could not be more proud to hear her talk at the Thanksgiving table with engaging stories of your days in New Orleans. It seems that work she did has made her reflect on a deeper level, and for that I am very grateful.
Ingrid, mother of Izzy, writes:
Just wanted to express my gratitude to you all for being such great leaders for our kids. Isabella has been entertaining us with many great stories and she really enjoyed the experience that she had this past week in New Orleans. Memories and service opportunities that will last a lifetime. Thank you for all you do to help guide our kids to be better young adults and caring individuals. It’s truly a gift that is so appreciated.
Mary & Martin, parents of Daniel, write:
Just a quick note to thank you. Daniel really enjoyed his Nola experience. He said it was humbling. We’re very grateful for life lessons that trips like this provide our boys. Thank you for your understated graciousness and humour that let’s our boys get to the next level without even knowing it
Cynthia, Lily’s mother writes:
I just wanted to personally thank you for the wonderful experience the kids had on this trip – I don’t believe that Lily has ever been so affected by a school trip – it was a deeply meaningful experience.
Romy, Mother of Angie, writes:
Thank you so much for taking the teens on such a wonderful and empowering trip. Angelica had a wonderful time. She said it was totally awesome. She came home tired and full of funny stories. These kinds of experiences can only be had when you are surrounded by people who have the same values as you and want to help others. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful teachers at CHS and SHHS who want to participate and drag kids along with them. Most importantly, you kept our students safe. As a mother, that is really important to me. Thank you all so much!!
Anne, one of the chaperons, writes:
Not enough can be said about how wonderful of a group we took and the opportunities and hospitality that were shared.
Sergio, a chaperon, writes:
These trips get at the heart of who we are as a Sacred Heart community. Staying with our RSCJ sisters who in their own way are responding to this need invites our students to see just how much a part of the Sacred Heart family they really are. It was a pleasure watching the students get along so well and work soooooo hard!
