“Feet, what do I need you for when I have wings to fly?” -Frida Kahlo
Anne Guina here, coming to you from Mexico! We have been busy exploring and taking in the culture and traditions as we enter Holy Week. It has been a pleasure getting to know the girls from Duchesne Academy and getting to know more of our Sacred Heart family. Adios until next time!
Hola! The computer has passed to me–TJ Mullaney, your friend and colleague from Omaha. Or if you prefer, call me “Teej,” as the SF boys have taken to calling me with great frequency and relish. This is my first time out of the country, and so I was filled with all sorts of anxiety and unease for the first few hours of our trip; then Ray, Michael, and Anne showed up with the boys (and Gabby!), who greeted me with inexplicably happy shouts of “TJ! TEEEEEEEEJ!” Normally I chafe at students calling me by my childhood nickname, but this time, by these kids, in this country? It made me feel closer to home. And so you may call me “Teej” this week, and I’ll happily answer.
