Special Olympics, May 2013

What can I say? A thank you seems too little for the awesome service you did today for so many athletes at the Special Olympics. At times, I allowed myself just to watch you guys escort and interact with the athletes and I saw such care in the way you watched and guided them. And not just me . . . a person after the games came up to me and complimented you on how responsible and polite you were. Thank you for making today a very special Special Olympics. You accomplished today what Janet Erskine Stuart wrote long ago: “Try to render all possible service to others, not talking of the thing, but doing it.”
